From his beginnings as a soloist with the St. Paul Chamber Symphony alongside Metropolitan Opera Soprano Lucy Shelton to his present day activities as an award winning composer for film, television, and media - the universal language of music has been the common thread woven through Sean’s diverse musical career.

 Sean’s compositions and orchestrations have been recorded on the Eastwood Scoring Stage at Warner Brothers Studios and utilized by Sony, Oprah, E! Entertainment, MTV, Vampire Diaries, Army Wives, CBS, Netflix, Amazon, American Express, Universal, Chopped, United Way and the Discovery channel to name a few. 

As a highly sought after pianist, keyboardist and arranger Sean has had the opportunity to work with such musical luminaries as Mavis Staples, platinum selling country artist Bryan White, fusion guitarist Scott Henderson, and Broadway legend Terrance Mann (Cats, Beauty and the Beast). Sean has collaborated and performed with a wide range of the twin cities most revered vocal artists including Patty Peterson, The Steeles, Ginger Commodore, Judi Vinar, Bruce Henry, and Debbie Duncan. Sean has served as rehearsal pianist and keyboardist for such musical theatre shows as “Romeo and Juliet”, “Always Patsy Cline”, and “Mamma Mia” at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. 

As an Educator, Sean has served as Keyboard Department Head, Graduate Studies Coordinator, and Composition Department Head at McNally College of Music. Sean has held adjunct positions at Macalester College, Hamline University, and has guest lectured abroad including multiple universities in Japan. He has also been an in demand clinician/artist for jazz festivals including the Dakota Foundation’s Jazz Piano Workshop and the Schubert Club. 

Sean earned an undergraduate degree in Jazz Performance from Arizona State University, holds a Master’s in Orchestration from the University of Chichester (UK) and is the recipient of a grant from the National Endowment for theText
